Should I get another duckling?

We currently have one 2 week old duckling. We found him when he was a day maybe 2 days old. We believe he is either a Mallard or Rouen. I know they do better in pairs, but he seems to be doing fine by himself. He follows me or my husband around the house while we are home. He also is great with our baby and very very very protective over him. He is kind of like a dog. I am wondering if he possibly imprinted on my husband or I or the dogs he has been around. For the first 2 weeks of his life he was around 3 dogs and they all got along great. So I am wondering if we should get another duckling or if he will be okay by himself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE YOUR INPUT!! I am stuck and don't know what to do! Thank you!

Some people say you need more but a lot of ducks do fine as single indoor house. I think that as long as he will live in the house with you he will be fine. But if you want him to live outside I would get another.

I would always have atleast a pair... I currently have 8 xx
