Should I get gro-gel?

Hi. I want to order two ducklings from metzer. I live in IL so is it a good idea to get the gro-gel stuff that they have? Has anyone else ever order two ducklings and did NOT get the gro-gel? Did your little one arrive dead? Please help! Thank you.

Its only a few dollars. I'd get it. I ordered my very first ducks, runners, from Metzer. I lived in central FL at the time. I got the grow gel. The 11 sent arrived in good shape. I lost 3 the first day but I don't know if it was shipping stress, my inexperience or a combo of the two.

It can't hurt.
