Should I get more chickens?

I want to get more chickens but i don't know how my chickens would feel about that i mean they are pets and lay eggs and i had them for about 2 years and i dont want them to think that i like the new chickens better and i dont want them to be jealous and yes i know they are chickens but chickens are smart and have great personalities.i have 5 and want to get 4 more what do you guys think? PLEASE HELP

Jealous? Oh, pshaw. They ARE smarter than one would think, though. There will be some upset due to re-ordering the pecking order, but that is perfectly normal.

I have 50 some chickens, some ducks, two geese and three turkeys. Yet all of them are my pets and they appear to recognize that somehow, testing me. Some of the flock is second, or even third and fourth generations, but many are new additions from other sources.

I think yours will be fine; as long as YOU are.
