Should I get more hens for my rooster?

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You definitely need to get more hens. The recommended ratio of roosters to hens is 1 rooster for every 10 hens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

If he keeps up with the bad rooster stuff - replace him. There is a glut of roosters looking for homes - including a lot of show & breeding stock at low prices. No reason to ever keep a bad roo unless you are inviting him to dinner.

Thanks for all the replies.He's starting to get aggressive towards the hens even though they're much bigger than him so I ordered 6 pullets.

Sounds good.How old are they?
Be sure they can defend themselves,id hate gor them to get kil or overly stressed.
