i usually give all my birds treets a few times a weel lettuce, cabbageand certain scraps but it seems everytime the next day my laying hens don't lay as normal am i just giving them to much r what? any help on this topic would be appreciated

I have noticed on the days the neighbors kid comes over the hens dont lay as well the next day! One reason may be that he feeds them everything he can think of besides laying crumbles. I do think it effects them, but I give them stuff to in moderation.

fruits and Vegetables can reduces laying.

I give my girls a treat each afternoon. But it's just a small treat. The three will share a strawberry or small section of a bannna, a quarter of an apple, a handful of grass that they pull from my fingers, etc. So maybe their systems are adjusted to the treat. They get layer rations the rest of the day and also free range for bugs and seeds. And they lay consistently.

I think the key is to think of it as small treat.
