Biggest thing again is to keep the area very dry and draft free but well ventilated. Some breeds are much better than others about withstanding the cold. Research the breeds that you have. Most breeds with large combs and wattles and bare legs are naturally more prone to frostbite. If your area has a high ceiling it helps. Keep the coop bedding nice and dry Add Sweet pdz or diatomacious earth to help dry out the dropping quickly and keep the ammonia smell down fluff up your bedding every few days to mix in the droppings so they dont cake up and stay wet.. Dont use small round dowels or branches for perches you want something wide enough that when they sit down to roost their breast feathers will cover their feet. A 2x4 set the wide way works very well for large breed birds.
