Should i help duck get out of egg????

He has been trying to get out for 2 days and just has a little hole in it but i still see him breathing so should i help him and if so how??

nope! they can take days to hatch. i had a chicken egg with a pip for 4 days and he hatched just fine. the only chick i ever helped was a coturnix quail. he popped out of his shell, all except his head. he was being choked by his shell!


the only time i would ever help a baby hatch is when it's already done for the most part, or has the top of the egg out and can't quite climb out due to the egg's position.


anyhow, don't worry yourself

he knows what he's doing!
