should I help my chick that is pipping but not hatching?

Ive hatched chicks before, and it can take them awhile. However you should probably keep a close eye in it and do some quivk research on how to help a chick hatch (something I’ve never tried). Might I ask if there is any breakage on the surface of the egg? I ask because in my experience a chick spends hours widening a hole before breaking out.

There is a hole and he sure does know how to chirp!

Well then keep an eye on him, but as long as he doesn’t rest for an exceptionally long time (like more than 1-2 hours). In my experience chicks can start hatching, stop, and then sadly pass away partway through. But again, don’t worry too much! 😊
