so I have a chick that it is day 21 and it pipped and make a couple cracks and made one hole in the membrane but I hasn’t done and thing else. Should I help it or leave it? Sometimes it moves around but then it stops. It is chirping too. Should I help it or not?

It is kinda hard to see but it look like it cracking upward the kind way instead of around. (Btw I don’t know anything) and in person the membrane looks yellow on the edges. Should I take a spray bottle and spray it in the incubator? Or what should I do?

I had several that had pipped and stopped. I waited 24 hours and was going to help them, then they died. It was so sad I wished I had done something. Deciding to help is the hardest decision to make. I still do not know what is right or wrong.

That little one looks fine to me. The chick has managed to crack the shell around the original pip which is exactly what it is supposed to do. What is the humidity in the incubator now? Are you using calibrated instruments to read your humidity and temp? What kind of incubator are you using? Were the other fails from this hatch or a different one?

Thanks for all the help! This morning it hatched and it happy as it can be! Thanks for giving all the input and helping me figure this out!
