Should I help this chick hatch?!?

The mom started eating the shell so I moved them to a pitch black room so the mom won’t be inclined to eat the egg anymore she is currently sitting on it and it is chirping… should I just let it be? Will it be able to zip out? Please help!

I would wait 24 hours from an external pip to help. Since the hole is so large now, you almost certainly will have to help because the membrane usually sticks to them when they have a large hole.
