should i help this wild chick!!!!! please need help ASAP!!

so today i was outside washing a tote for my chick i have on the way and theres a nest right next to our house and a chick fell out so we put it back in right away the mother bird seen us put it back soo ive kept in eye on it and it almost fell out again but he saved his fall and got back up ive been inside for most of the day but i have went to chick on him and ive only seen the mother one time and the chick keeps poking its head out and will not chirp he just keeps his mouth open like hes hungry should i take it in will it have bird lice please help!!! thanks

I would leave the bird in the nest. I have put them back and the mother bird did come back.

wear gloves so you don't leave your scent.

The mothers could care less if the baby smells different. You may want gloves for your own protection especially if you are getting chicks yourself.
Although harsh wild birds will toss a sick baby from the nest.
Keep an eye out. Mom will probably come back.
