So this little egg has looked like this since around 2pm today and it is now 9:50pm. He will push out a piece of the shell but it still attached and the piece just falls back into place. He peeps sometimes but I feel like he is not moving as much now. It is only day 2020. I don’t want him to die

Should I just pick away one little corner so he can get his beak out and breathe better

yeah, i'd say try giving him better airflow, but if there are others pipping i wouldn't want to risk the humidity drop. sometimes it takes chicks up to 24 hours, it's a long and delicate process. check on him every few hours once you give him better airflow and see how much progress he's done.

That looks like a normal pip to me. It can take up to 24 hours from the time a chick pips for it to begin zipping. If it makes no progress by the 24 hour mark that’s when you’ll want to interfere. It’s perfectly normal for chicks to pip on day 20. How are they doing now?
