Yea he is way more addicted than I am, I didn't want to do a hatch till the first of March, but he has been asking for a month now, I only wanted 4 or 5 chickens and now we have over 40

but they have been great for him.
 
I would leave them for 7 days. Test for veining. You will be surprised at how much they can take before the worst happens. They are fragile but at the same token they are pretty strong too.

hmm......that does complicate things......but there aren't any wires in the 1588, would that slow him down? it's virtually toy free (there's nothing for my 5 yr old to play with, anyway -- and she's as good as any 2 yr old)
