Should I make him 'trick out my ride'?

My little brother is visiting and he's a genius... no, literally. He's also very mechanical and I think he could fairly easily get my hovabator to monitor its own heat and attach a digital thermostat, etc. Should I make him play with it and see what I get out of it, or leave well enough alone?

My incubators are still air and even the mercury-based thermometers all seem to disagree, so would this help me regulate temperature better?

If he was my brother or I was closer to you...go for it and post the results with pic's. Sounds as if he might build a better mouse trap or at least have something interesting.
One of the biggest problems we all have is turning eggs cheaply, maybe he could come up with a solution for that as well.
