I have 15 eggs in the incubator, 7 have hatched, 2 pipped. Humidity shot up to 92%, I pulled the plug but it won't go down. Should I open it up a bit to decrease humidity? I still have 8 more eggs to hatch!! It's day 20, they hatched a day early! (temp is 102)

temp is a little on the high side...
That's probably why you are hatching early.

I'd try to lower that temp a little and do you have a window on that inc you could open slightly for some air. If not a quick open and shut is what I would do, or put a small fan about 6 feet from the incubator to try to lower the air around the incubator....Turn your heat in the house down....That might help.

Your humidity might also be off ...if you are not calibrated.

Best of luck!

it was consistently 100 degrees, it just went up today. I opened the incubator to get the shells out, but as soon as I closed it the humidity started going up again.

Okay do you have only one hygrometer/thermometer in there? Is it calibrated....

If yes, then maybe it's reading a little high.....

I'd crack it just a moment and let some humidity out, but none of the babies yet....Wait....Remember that babies also generate a lot of humidity running around.

Honestly, high humidity shouldn't be a problem at this late in the game. It matters early on, but they don't absorb that much water in the short amount of time that it will take to finish the hatch. And the humidity will go back down when the chicks have all dried.

Now I would try to get the temperature down, that is way too hot for hatching.

temps at a consistent 100 now, I did crack a bit for more air circulation. I'll keep a close eye on the temp
