Should I or Pass?

I am being tempted again with chickens. I am thinking of being a part time surrogate of baby chicks for spring time. When they get older, they can be tranfered to my mom friend property. Where it will be their permanent stay. I wonder if it should be fun to pursue for the time being?

If you enjoy raising chicks and know that your mom's friend will take them for sure, no reason not to.

Just be sure that your mom's friend will definitely take every chick- boy or girl.
Otherwise I see no problem in it if you enjoy hatching. I wish I could do this

I was asked to help out hatching. He lost his rooster, so he definitely would want a new male.

I’m just worried I will get too attached. The last two I donated, they were gone from not keeping the door shut correctly to allow the dogs to kill off many chickens. Kinda ticked me off. I feel they should be treated more concern than be livestocks.

For now I’m just working harder eventually to afford property to live on my own.

I did this this summer and it worked out well! I had a friend who wanted chicks but didn’t have time to incubate herself, so I did it for her.

Mine are livestock and pets, treated with great concern.
