Should I pluck?

I've treated my roo x2 for lice (two weeks apart) and haven't seen any creepy crawlies since. He does, however, still have the egg clusters at the base of his feathers (around his vent) Should I pluck the feathers? This seems like it would hurt

but should it be done? Could I put some vasteline over it if I do need to pluck? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

ETA: I treated with garden and poultry dust, active ingredient is permetherin.

no..don't pluck.

I'd consider getting some Adams flea shampoo for dogs and cats and dilute by 1/2 at least..
give him a bath..
make sure he is completely dry before putting him back out.

do you have other chickens?
do they have them, too?
have you cleaned and treated the coop?
new bedding?

others might have different opinions.

I agree with the adams and a bath. Do not pluck! I would also check the others and add poultry dust to their new bedding and roost areas. After the coop is cleaned out, I would also spray adams before putting down new pine shavings!
