Hi! I started out with five duck eggs in the incubator, and they have been slowly dying off. I now have one live egg in the incubator. It’s day 26. He internally pipped yesterday around 8-9:30. It’s almost 11:00 But he still hasn’t externally pipped. I’ve read they externally pip 12-24 hours after internally pipping, but it’s been more than 24 hours and still no pip. I did go into lockdown early on accident (I forgot it was supposed to be day 26 and not 25), but I don’t think that’s a problem. When I candled him yesterday he was very active and moving a bunch. When I candled him today he was way less active. Still moving, but not as active. I REALLY don’t want to lose this egg. It’s my last one. Should I make a safety hole for him? Please help!
