Yo the OP, what do you like the best? Pick what you prefer,

Krys, the prices are all over the place. Some folks get $12 a chick, some are getting much more. Eggs range from $30 a half dozen up to a couple of hundred. Many folks just don't know what they are buying, unfortunately. I have paid $60 a dozen plus shipping from some of the best breeders (IMHO). I would assume it is a bit higher this year.

Welll.....

Because of the way the genetics of blue works, if you breed blue copper Marans you'll actually be breeding blue PLUS black PLUS splash copper birds. So you'll get three for the price of one.

OTOH -- if you ask me which variety I prefer, I'll say get wheatens instead.
