Should I seperate meet/egg chicks?

I have never personally raised meat chickens, but I would think that you should just because of the eating requirement differences. I know that meat birds eat differently and much more than regular chicks.

Mine usually stay together until about 4 weeks, then I separate them b/c the meaties get so big I worry about them squishing the others...especially the bantams!

With my Cochin chicks I had meat chicks. I just separated them at six weeks and I think I waited too long. I think I would keep everyone together for a couple three weeks and then separate them out. The meat birds are far more aggressive for both food and space. Everyone was much happier separated.
