I hope I'm in the right area to ask this!

I have 2 roosters.(1) Raptor is aggressive and a great watch dog. His comb is big and bright vibrant red. He keeps all the members of the flock in line including 2 other roosters. He was slow to feather out and a bit smaller than the other black star. He doesn't like to be caught but one caught he allows us to handle him and will sit and visit a few minutes. He looks like a rooster (2) Henry is quiet, his comb is mostly pale pink, a hint of red close to his head; he clearly lets Raptor run things; he's very quiet and slow moving like he's trying to be invisible! LOL He's very puffy looking with feathers lifted to look big all the time; he seems to be second to the hens as well. He looks like a hen.(Pretty sure HEnry is a male; he's barred and a Blk star.)

I was thinking of letting Raptor keep the top position of guard dog and use Henry for breeding. Can he do the job?

I assume that you have them separated? If so a roo, who is a roo, will mate with any hen he can catch.

If you have them free ranging, the top roo, will keep the other roo from mating as much as possible, but the 2nd roo will probably sneak in some mating.
