Converted a big wooden doghouse to a coop and it has a fenced run and 2 door ways to the run. On one side of the doorway inside the coop is their roosting bar and i've been putting a board over the door entrance at night so they'll feel secure on their roost but do i need to do this?

Thinking about the ventilation question although the other door way in the coop is open.

This was the before pic and now the run is all cleaned out and the roost is on the right and i've been putting a board up on the right doorway so they can feel more secure but don't know if that's necessary? Thanks!

if its really hot then they will need ventilation, but I would think that that amount to ventilation would be drafty
