Should I worm/medicate anyway?

We've had our chickens a year now - never wormed or treated for anything. I haven't noticed mites, worms, ticks, or anything else, but should I just worm them anyway?

It depends on your environment, specifically your soil. If it's wet, warm or moist most of the time, it is condusive for worms and worm oocysts. Cold, mountainous, dry desert type soils may not require birds to be wormed as often vs warm moist soil. You can take fecal samples to a vet and have them checked out for a small fee if you wish.
