Should I worry? Duck not laying.

I decided to edit my question to be more to the point and hopefully get some sort of response...

My crested Swedish duck, Lucy is now 3 years old, and lives indoors with the family. She survived a raccoon attack last May that killed the other ducks and nearly killed Lucy. She is well now and acts perfectly fine (well, she is rather bossy).
She gets outside time and pool time every day and has company all day. I feed her layer pellets, fresh vegetables and fresh water freely available 24/7.

She has not laid any eggs since May. She was laying before then - I would get 3 eggs every day from 3 ducks & 2 drakes.

Should I be worried that she has not laid any eggs in 10+ months? Is she done laying eggs and I can relax? She does act like she is fine.

Another question - She flattens out like she's expecting a drake. Would it hurt her if I got her a drake and let them 'do the deed'? I don't want her injured, but I want her to be happy and healthy.

Hi, Captain Cluck, this is a good question.

I feel that the trauma may have sent her into early menopause, or whatever they call it with ducks. The flattening may mean she's finally getting back into the swing of things. When my ducks start doing that, they usually begin laying within the next several weeks.

I her injuries were not around her vent, then I doubt that a drake's attention would be a problem. I wonder if there might be someone willing to let you have the drake conditionally.

Thanks for your writeup of your care for Lucy. I keep it handy to refer to.
