Should I?

I stopped doing fall and winter hatches. Added too much extra care and work to keep them well maintained.

In the future I might do a small hatch of a few silkie eggs or something that I could keep indoors during the winter. But no more LF or large hatches for me in Tennessee winters.

Last year I had chicks both in January and February. Is it fun? No. But that's when what I wanted was available. Brooder in the barn with two lamps, they did fine. I wanted to have mine hatched by now for this year, but life happened HARD. Still unsure if I'll hatch in January if the opportunity happens.

I would feel like that too in a colder climate than mine.
