I allowed for the first time one of my broody hens hatch and care for chicks. it was the best
Here is my question: I got some Pumpkin Hulsey hatching eggs
is it ok to allow one of my broody hens that is not a game bird to hatch and care for the chicks
My concern is that I was told that game birds are different
because the cockerels need to be separated very young
I never had a game bird before
I am researching them now
I only plan on keeping a cockerel and one or two pullet
will the hen make the cockerels behave them selves and not eat and fight with each other
or do i need to take the chicks from her as soon as they hatch
