Should layer feed be 16%, 18% or 21% - really what does it matter?

Should layer feed be 16%, 18% or 21% - really what does it matter?

I see different versions - does it really matter if you feed your hens 16%, 18% or 21%....does one make them lay better than the other. Is the 21% for younger layers?

What is the difference...?

i just feed layer feed i dont look at the protine.i think the feed i was feeding was 18%.but i havent bought layer feed in 2 or 3yrs.

Most people would say at least 16 percent.
