Should my dog go to the vet or not??

Here is my opinion on the subject. If he is a "dog food dog", then any change in his stool after eating people food is caused from enteritis. Dogs that only eat dog food are very sensitive to people food especially greasy food. Don't feed him anything for 12-24 hours and let him get it out of his system, then feed him a bland chicken and white rice diet. then add his dog food back into it. If you do take him to the Vet, take the stool with you.
If the stool is fatty or frothy, it's going to be enteritis from the greasy people food. Tell brother to Stop feeding your dog or her will pay the vet fee.
The Pumpkin is good for diarrhea.

I should of added I did take my dog to the vet and got medicine for him. Bleeding is very serious. my dog was intolerance to corn, but cancer or something he ate like a toy stuck in his intestines. If you can afford it, you should take him to the vet.

Pumpkin does help with diarrhea but it also helps with constipation and an upset stomach. He threw up because of something. Plus the blood, if you can you should take him to a vet.

Arthur is almost 2. An indoor/outdoor dog. Up to date on all puppy vaccinations, just needs another rabies. He had a day like this last year where he bled for a little and then got over it and was fine. He seems completely normal now, eating, wagging his tail, etc.. We'll call the vet tomorrow am and see what they think.
