Hello. I live on Long Island where it's always humid. The highest altitude point in the area is 401 feet. I've had my temps between 99 and 101 for the most part and humidity between 40 and 45% for the first 18 days. Lockdown will be Sunday morning. I read that huge thread on humidity and am not sure what humidity I should raise it to for lockdown. I've read that humidity of the outside of the incubator and the altitude is something I should take into account. My incubator is homemade from a styrofoam cooler. I would like your votes please:

A) 55%
B) 60%
C) 65%
D) 70%

AH! A New Yorker! Please share with me what humidity you've used with success during the first 18 days and I'm assuming you go between 60 and 65% for lockdown? Thanks so much for for your vote!

Fan or no fan in your incubator? I found that when I added a fan to mine, I had to increase the humidity during hatch so that the eggs didn't dry out after the first pip and stick to the babies. My vote would be 60-65% without a fan, but 65-70% with a fan.

I've done three hatches so far, my best was my first, with that humidity. It is a Genesis 1588 with turner, yes 60-65 during lockdown, hope that helps!
