Should my silkie be laying yet?

I have a silkie that is about 5 months old. Should she be laying yet? What will I look for (besides an egg

) when she gets close to laying?

Just bumping this up....I am curious about when silkies start to lay...

Silkies often mature late and may not lay til 9 or 10 months. They usually begin to squat when getting mature and sometimes do the "egg song" without laying.

I have two hatchery girls that started laying within days of each other at 21 weeks. They have really surprised me by laying fairly well. Two to three days, then day off.
