Should there be a sticky???

Should there be a sticky to let noobs know they can't post pics right away? I was just welcoming a new member and he was a little bummed that he spent 20 minutes trying to upload pics just to find out that it wan't allowed. Just a thought.

In every single email that new members receive (that gives them access to BYC) there is a link to the "Required and suggested reading" https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16110

In that short post is this quote:

"A quick note: In our effort to keep our community free of spammers we have turned off the ability for brand new members to post links, pictures, and signatures.... but don't worry, if you're a real person and participate in our group, you'll soon have full access to these features. "

Unfortunately no matter how much we sticky, post, flash banners, etc. with information, there will always be peeps that don't notice.

Noobs. As in newbies. they are th only ones who can not post links and pics right away. And there are lots of noobs in a chicken forum.

What were you thinking?
