Took these tonight for comparison purposes.
Buff ckl is 5 months old. Black ckl is 4 months old.
Same Buff ckl. White ckl is same age. My whites mature faster than the Buffs. Different strains mature at different rates and different breeds vary greatly in the rate they mature. Had a tough time getting a pic of these two. They wanted to spar a bit since they don't live together.
This pullet is the same age (5 months) as the Buff and the White ckls. You'll find the pullet mature faster than the ckls. She still has a long way to go but I hatched late on purpose this year.
These guys are the absolute slowest maturing of my large Cochins. These are all around 3 1/2 months old give or take. The feather slow and they grow slow.
