A few days ago my chickens may have ingested rat poision. So far they seem to be acting normal and laying eggs. Should we toss the eggs or will they be ok to eat??

Personally, I wouldn't chance it, even if it's just a possibility!
While it's great that they seem to be acting normally, I still wouldn't eat them--when you worm with products like wazine (?), you don't eat the eggs for at least 2 wks, right?

What makes you think they may have eaten rat poision?? I would guess that if they had they would've gotten sick

I think I've read that their poop turns bluish if they've ingested poision..
Better safe than sorry, I say don't eat them!

What was in the rat poison? It is usually warfarin whick is used as a blood thinner medication for people. If the chickens survive, they didn't eat much. I wouldn't think the tiny amount that would come through into an egg would be harmful but I don't know that much about chicken metaboliism.
But I did butcher a laying hen by mistake once and she had thirty eggs in her, from a full sized, ready to hatch egg down to a tiny pinhead sized little yolk. so if you decide you shouldn't' eat the eggs, to be sure, you will need to wait a full month.
