What do you feed your show birds? I am curious to know others' thoughts.

Depends on how old and what time of year. I've got chicks starting on a 28% protein gamebird feed for the first 8 weeks, then I'll step it down to about 20% protein until the summer. I think most feed birds they are conditioning for show at least 18%, up to 24% protein. Many have special things they'll feed when they're conditioning before a show, some will use some black oil sunflower seeds, some fish, etc.

I think the main idea is good protein and good fat.

Purina gamebird flight conditioner with a little wild bird seed and scratch mixed in. Also add cod liver oil.
