My roosts are 2x4 boards that are faced on the front and back with blocks of wood that hold them in. That way I can take them out when ever they need replaced or cleaned. (picture before the edges were rounded and the interior is painted white, now)
My poop boards just run under the roosts length of the coop. I slide them out through these poop doors.
On either side of my egg doors. They will have snap down legs on hinges that will hold up the poop boards. Then we just drive the wheel barrow under them and scoop out all the chickapoot , and drive it to the compost pile. Don't even have to go into the coop to clean em.
Some very nice poo boards everyone. Here is a picture of mine. I used clay unscented cat litter. Might use pine shavings next time? But the cat litter seems to be working and since we have all sand soil here I thought the clay would be good for my compost bin.
