Last year we had a little dress-up-your-chicken contest thread. Here was my entry, El-hen-or Roosevelt....

On Oct 14th, they are actually having a chicken pageant in the town south of us, where contestants will dress up their chickens to compete for prizes. It's to benefit charity. I'm not going to drag my hen out in public but I'll take some pics and post them here!

Here is a link for inspiration including link for free patterns for hen sweaters. This was initiated to dress battery hens in to send adoptive families who received the chicken when they had absent feathers. A woman knits for charity. She posted her patterns. Check it out. Silver leather and medieval pins. I can't find the pictures of when we had the jousting all decked out in their armor.

OMG that is imaginative for 10 years of age! I love the fort to go with the costumes. That is truly a feather in your cap!

I made this sweater years ago, its hard to see on her as its black. OMG, my chickens HATE wearing sweaters!
