Show Me Your Lap Chickens!

After last night I just HAD to come back to this thread! I took my lawn chair in the girl's run to sit with them. All 4 of them were sitting on me and after two had left Blanche decided to stretch out and take a nap. She's my little lovebug anyway but she's never layed down. Definitely an awwww moment! ❤

Disclaimer....yes, she's fine and yes, for a few seconds she scared the crap out of me!

I am not a lap chicken person. I've never tried to encourage it with mine and they never liked being touched anyway.
Until this last batch. About 6 out of 12 have no problem sitting on my lap if I'm sitting (and they like to go all at once) and 1 partridge rock likes to scratch and flop around like she's dust bathing on my lap and seems to enjoy being petted.
The most ironic part is that I was working full days for two months, they're 9 weeks old, they were practically ignored during that time besides food/water. I don't know how they got so friendly.

All of my chickens like sitting on my lap, but this one purr like a cat and loves it when i stroke her over her back.
