I'm a little late to the party but here is what I used.

They are old chicken layer cages with every other divider removed and pre-made rabbit cage doors from Bass. I also put 1/2" wire over the 1"x2" wire bottoms.

Even though I re-used an existing cage, building a wire cage is pretty easy to do.

I used solid bottom rabbit feeders but they would waste alot of feed with them as is. I used a piece of duct tape to narrow the opening of the feeder and it really cut down on the waste.

ETA: I finally took the time to measure them. They are 16" x 16" x 16" with a 2/12 slope for the egg tray.

Ahhh very good thinking. I have mine on pine shavings right now but I think I will make some nice cages like all of you. Thanks!

I think we need to get some more pics of peoples setups and make this a sticky. about every 3 or 4 weeks we get a post like this. the chickens have there own coop pages maybe we quail raisers can get something like that?

I'm pretty sure that we are SUPPOSE to be putting our coops and runs in that main COOP section. It's just that everyone who wants quail comes here.

if i was looking for quail pen ideas i wouldnt want to search all the chicken coops to find a couple quail pens
