Show me your roosts! :-)

I'm in the middle of building our coop and was swirling around with roost idea but can't seem to decide on something. Would love to see some of your ideas and what you guys did for roosts in your coops. My coop is 4'x4' with external nexting boxes and I woud love to keep all my floor space available to the chickens. The floor will have linoleum covering it for easier clean up and the bedding will either be pine shavings or straw. Thanks so much in advance for sharing!

i use anything i can get my grubby hands on. but for you i would suggest 2x4 with the 4 turned flat. it gets pretty cold where your at and the wider roost allows them to cover their feet in winter while they sleep and help prevent frost bite.

very nice. mine is like that ( one of them) but it leads to the nesting boxes and of course they are all sleeping in the nest boxes. not new or clean like your either. i think my favorite is the one they dont even use. it is 10 ft. long tree branch. i used L brackets and the one little hen that is using it is pecking away at the wood around the brackets. lol that is gonna need a video when she gets close enough.
