Show me your silkie coops!

Hi, not sure, but they did go up 2 feet on a 5 foot ramp. My current one is just under 3 feet high, and it has a 7 foot ramp. At times, I have also used stone steps. When it starts to get dark, then they will try hard and you will find out if they can, LOL!

The coop my Silkies are in is an A-frame design. One 1/3 is blocked off for a coup and the rest is an open run area. The coop has a plywood floor only off the ground about 4 inches. It was originally built for my first chickens and now the Silkies are in it and it works really good for them especially since they don't roost.

Hi, I'll have to ask my husband, he's been buying all the wood and stuff. I'll have to ask him tomorrow, he's at work.

He said he's not done buying yet, but says it should be around 5-$600.00.

Both of mine go up and down the ramp in mine no problem. It's not very steep, and is about 6' long. Their door into the house at the top of the ramp is about 4' off the ground. One of our silkies took to it no problem, the second one took about a week before she figured out how to go up it. She could get down no problem, but putting 2 and 2 together to go up seemed to be beyond her for awhile
