Show me your Speckeled sussex's

First time chicken owner and 4 of them are SS. I didn’t care for their personality much as chicks but now that they are maturing I’m absolutely in love with the two hens. They are so sweet and curious.
i just took a couple pics of one of my SS cockerels and I haven’t seen one with this much white in my internet searches. I don’t think I’ll keep a Roo as only 3 of my chick batch are hens but hope someone will want him. He’s gonna be very pretty. Lots of emerald green coming in
Wow, he is going to be stunning!

Thanks for sharing your pictures...I don't think I've seen a SS with that much white. Hope you'll find a good for your boy!

This is my 17 week old SS hen. She's absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately I'm having to give her away because she attacks my chicks. Hoping to trade her for another hen of a select few breeds.

Something unique I noticed about her is that she has one white feather on each wing. You can see the splash of white in this picture:

Separate birds of different age.

A broody hen would intervene and stop the older bird cold. It becomes our job to protect chickd by separating them

I have three pens right now. By age.

Very few lines are close to the written description of ideal. A kess than perfect bird doesnot negate his or her usefulness to the avetage backyard owner.

Enjoy the minor imperfections.
