My cute hen pebbles got taken by a fox the other day when nobody was home poor darling

Oh that’s so sad!!! We had a beautiful polish hen that was our absolute favourite. About a month ago I went out for their breakfast to find our Polish Roosters feathers EVERYWHERE and no Blondy (the Polish hen) I assume there was an attack and Blondy lost the fight we have never seen her again!

Come to think of it. Maybe this is why Konky our Polish Rooster is so nasty!!

I know it’s like one thing after another
Last year we had a OEGB rooster who looked after his girls anyway a fox got the Sussex hen and the black Australorp hen Sussex-Lizzy and the Australorp- Shimmer we kept them locked up for a day before letting them out again the following day he went and the same thing happened with my two splash silkies

Holy crap!!! I think we get lucky because our horse paddocks surround the barn and our dogs run at large. So between the horses and dogs our chicks are being kept plenty safe. I def. wouldn’t want to have to experience continuous fox attacks!! How heart wrenching for you! And your flock!!

I have lost more chickens to foxes than any other predators
Once we had this eagle take our hen and her 10 baby chicks all in one go
