my two ducklings are Cayuga’s. I don’t know their sex yet. They are wonderful ducklings and I enjoy them very much. Although I’ve had other ducks and poultry in the past these are my first ever waterfowl young. They are stinky, they are messy and I love every minute of their development.

They made a selfie with some help a few days back which made the two silly pictures. And the standing picture is from around 2 weeks of age.

At about three weeks of age , ducklings become extremely afraid of people even if they have been handled and petted while they were being brooded. It usually lasts a week or two. Our joke around here is they think we are ax murderers .
