We really were not expecting the poof. None of the Bandit/Quackers babies that @Magnolia Ducks hatched had it. The other Pekin/Runner has little puffy spots by each ear.

Somewhere in the lines there was a crested. Be interesting to know which generation it was.

I think it comes from Bandit. Look at the Rouen ducklings and how different the two are from the tiny one. The non crested Pekin Runner will be bigger than her mom.
