Ever since he was little I knew he would be a keeper, he hatched out of some really dark Maran eggs, but he might not be a full Maran.

This is Superbird, AKA Bird he was ayear old on April 1,2011

He likes to sleep on my head.

and gets jealous if I am not paying attention to him.

he's just a good boy all around.

He may not be the prettiest rooster on the site, but to me he is the most awesome. He watches over his girls like no other. He watches over me as well. Bird always lets me know if something is going on that I need to know about. He will come get me if a hen is missing, he comes to me if there is anything wrong with my girls, He always gives his girls treats that I give him. Bird jumps up on my shoulder from the ground to check out the world. He crows so proudly from my shoulder!( hurts my ears though). Bird comes running to me when I call him from the house. He always gives a warning cry when the hawks are near and if he sees me looking, he will show me where it is. he will look directly up intot he sky at it. He protected my Pekins while they were here this spring. He brings the girls up onto my deck and patio doors and pecks on it until I come over to give them treats. He is such a GOOD BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, and he loves classic cars as well.
