This is Imagene, a showgirl. Doesn't she look just like a mini ostrich? She been laying every single day in this bad weather. Cute pale brown/dark beige eggs about 2/3 the size of regular egg.

This was a such a hard decision, I have so many wonderful special hens...but my Jubilee hen Kyra is one that everyone knows from my avatar photos, she is getting on with age. But still produces babies every spring and enjoys being spoiled. She survived a attack by a Bald Eagle when she was 6 months old, and spent weeks in a veterinarian hospital . But truly a survivor. She only gets prettier with age ( more white) but everyone loves her here on the farm and still jumps in your lap when you sit down.
