Harriett

Breed unknown, she was supposed to be a Bielefelder, but has some feathers on her legs, so who knows.

7 months old

Female

She is curious and smart. Her best trait is that even though she is near the top of the pecking order she will take care of the pullet at the bottom of the pecking order. She always has the smallest or weakest or bird with the worst feathers tucked up against her to sleep for the night.

Awe, thanks, she was all brown and grey and kinda blah, but now that she's got her big girl colors she's quite pretty in her own way. She's one of my favorites and I decided to keep the mutt even though she's not the pure breed I paid for. I don't want to bring her back to the farmer! Haha. It's funny the way we get attached to them even when they haven't been in our lives long. Hopefully she will start laying soon!

Tribble
Silkie Serama mix. Weighs 1 pound
8 months old
Lays 5+ eggs a week.
And she just hatched 9 of her own with my OEG bantam rooster. 100% hatch rate in 30 F weather.
She is inside the house now... She was refusing to leave the nest to eat and drink while attempting to keep Chicks warm. So mama made her a inside house. Her Chicks are so cute and colorful, none look alike.
