Show off your house ducks!

Ohmyword, you are brilliant. You do present with amazing knowledge of genetics and such, @Tevyes Dad . I am all for starting with my finch eggs. If I can get tips on how to ship them, I suggest we try it. And through this breeding attempt I want to make sure we get a call duck with Jibby's coloring exactly. Wow.
I wasn't advocating for this breeding attempt as it would probably take a couple thousand generations, just noting that it would be much faster than directly trying to breed out the mud gene since in order to breed in that direction you would have to find a pair of ducks that at a minimum weren't super enthusiastic about mixing dirt and water and since ducklings only pip with the goal of mixing all the earth's dirt and water into uniform mud + poop, that wouldn't really be possible. But if we were aiming for our clean duck, perhaps a scan of Jibby's genome and Wobbles' genome could give scientists the genes to combine to produce the first synthetic species of clean call-duck-like birb with a squeeeee rating of 11 on the 1-10 scale.

OMG, I love you. You should be a writer for a comedy. And you aptly used birb. A couple thousand generations is a long time.

I just read this again and am laughing out loud. Entertaining. I think we can accomplish this with Jibby and Wobbles. @Amykins are you on board?

And squeee, too….

I love you!!
I loves you more!

So cool. He is a consistent duck. Very regimented in his dining and poopooing habits.
That he is! My phone was almost dead last night but I will get that video for you! He moves so much more faster around the brooder now.
I think that would give me ducks with a shell on their backs, and I'm not sure that would look very nice.
They start with shells already so it'd only take half as long for them to hatch! Faster hatches!

Weeeeee, thank you Scovy Momma. You are always so much fun.

Cool!! Excited to see video when you can. It will cause me to squeeee loudly.
