BEAN HAS AN EGG INSIDE HER. She hasn't passed it yet...her cloaca is slightly dilated, and she's not straining, but it's just sitting there in the canal, not going anywhere. It doesn't feel misshapen but this is her very first and I'm scared she won't be able to pass it!

I've got her in her crate, I don't want her to be wearing a diaper with that thing in there. Poor Beanie...poor egg!

Put her in some nice warm water and let her float for a while sometimes that helps them relax enough to pass the egg. You can also wrap a thick towel around a heating pad and let her sit on that on very low setting the humidity is suppose to help.

Ten steps ahead of ya. She got a nice warm soak, I don't have any towels but I put my old tshirt in there that she's been fond of laying on as of late. She turned my dirty laundry pile into a sort of "nest". I'm on the phone to my vet now, if she doesn't pass it by tomorrow I'm going to take her in.

I can tell she's straining, she's..how do I put this..."duckie farting"? Little squeaks as poop and gas escapes. She's trying to pass it.

Bless her heart hopefully it will come out on it's own with her pushing. Soak as often as you want it may help.
