Awws! Thanks. You're sweet.
My girl was going to be 3 years old next month. I really hope she went peacefully. My roommate says he didn't hear the dogs make a fuss in their room (the 4 dogs & my girl all have their own room in my house) & Daisy was talking at him when he got home from work to let the pups out of their crates to go out. So I can only hope she didn't hurt. She looked like she was sleeping nestled in her bed on her shavings so it didn't look like she struggled. When she didn't move when I walking in the room I knew something was wrong. :*(
Thank you. To my mom & pops she was "the grand duck" so they were crushed also, so they get it. I guess it just takes special hearts to understand. *hug*

I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy! She was so cute, I can imagine the heartbreak you must be going through! I've lost quite a few pets that people don't understand how attached we can get to them! They aren't disposable, they are family!

Thank you guys. Yeah, she was awesome. That was my kid. I love all my rescues but that one was different. She went everywhere with me & was my girl. She'd dance & sing & I just don't know how I'm going to sleep without her ducky dabbles in my ear. I really thought I'd have her longer than that. They live for a while, right? I just figured whatever the lifespan was of an outdoor "normal" duck is she would have had to live longer inside.
But thank you, I remember why I loved coming to this site.
